This vegan hand and body wash is made with the anti-inflammatory residual water of kiwifruit, a byproduct of the juicing industry. This is to protect the aluminum cap from the essential oils in the toner. Essential oils can cause aluminum to oxidize (which means it gets a black coating) which can spoil the product. There is currently no better alternative available. We recommend reusing the bottles as much as possible. When you throw them away, remove the plastic liner from the cap and put it in the plastic waste.
